"beyond the simple fact of translating..."

Adaptation goes beyond the simple fact of translating and requires to me more imaginative. It is a kind of constrained writing.
Dubbing involves several stages and is done in collaboration with a studio specialized in audio post-production (MIROSLAV PILON).

The different stages

Detection:
spotting and lip-sync transposition of mouth movements frame by frame using the Pil'Rythmo software.

Adaptation:
the script is then adapted in order to create a synchronized text appropriate to the language and culture of the target country.

Casting:
testing of voices, choice of comedians by the Artistic director or the Creation department of the client.

Recording:
artistic direction of the comedians in order to stick to the original version.

Mixing:
balancing of the voices and the international version appropriate to the original version.

Editing:
editing of the recorded voices in order to improve the synchronicity of the dialogues.

Mastering:
transferring the dubbed version on any media.
